Dr. Sonia Gonzales brings more than 37 years of experience in education, with a career defined by a deep commitment to inclusive, student-centered learning. Her diverse leadership background spans classroom teaching, administration in charter schools, and directing alternative education programs.

Driven by a belief that every student deserves an opportunity to succeed, she has also dedicated a portion of her career to serving as a principal supporting highly vulnerable, at-risk youth in juvenile justice settings.

In 2013, she founded AZ Aspire Academy to provide highly personalized, one-to-one education and therapeutic support.
